The peoples of Europe should chart their own course of disentanglement from
imperialist plans and unions
(Statement of the Secretariat of the European Communist Initiative (ECI)on the NATO Summit)
The NATO Summit, which is taking place on 29–30 June in Madrid, is a step towards the further escalation of NATO aggression against the peoples, but also the intensification of imperialist competition, which is currently manifested in the imperialist military conflict in Ukraine.
The NATO Summit seeks to update the NATO doctrine that is dangerous to the people and to strengthen the aggressive strategy “NATO 2030”. In the context of this strategy, NATO’s Rapid Reaction Force is being legitimized and increased tenfold to over 300,000 troops, focusing on the war zone in Eastern Europe. The accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO has been systematically supported aiming to strengthen the encirclement of Russia.
The expansion of its activity throughout the world is being promoted either independently or together with other countries, coveting the Indo-Pacific region in the framework of the competition between the USA and China. The above plans are accompanied by huge armaments programmes and escalating nuclear threats while the bourgeois governments, liberal and social democratic, announce one after another their increasing military involvement in the imperialist war in Ukraine, with the money of the peoples.
The conflict between imperialists forecasts dangerous and unpredictable sharpening of their confrontation over wealth-producing resources and spheres of influence, for which the peoples will pay in a multifaceted way.
The peoples of Europe can chart their own course of disentanglement from imperialist plans; for peace, cooperation, the joint struggle for their rights, and the disengagement from NATO and the EU, in conflict with capitalist barbarism.

Народы Европы должны наметить собственный курс на освобождение от
империалистических планов и союзов
(Заявление Секретариата Европейской коммунистической инициативы (ECI) на саммите НАТО)
Саммит НАТО, который проходил 29–30 июня в Мадриде, — это шаг к дальнейшей эскалации агрессии НАТО против народов, а также к усилению империалистической конкуренции, которая в настоящее время проявляется в империалистическом военном конфликте на Украине.
Саммит НАТО стремится обновить опасную для людей доктрину НАТО и усилить агрессивную стратегию «НАТО 2030». В контексте этой стратегии Силы быстрого реагирования НАТО узакониваются и увеличиваются в десять раз до более чем 300 000 человек, сосредоточившись на зоне боевых действий в Восточной Европе. Вступление Швеции и Финляндии в НАТО систематически поддерживалось с целью усиления окружения России.
Расширение деятельности НАТО по всему миру продвигается либо самостоятельно, либо совместно с другими странами, завоевавшими Индо-Тихоокеанский регион в рамках конкуренции между США и Китаем. Вышеупомянутые планы сопровождаются огромными программами вооружений и нарастанием ядерной угрозы, в то время как буржуазные, либеральные и социал-демократические правительства, одно за другим объявляют о своем возрастающем военном участии в империалистической войне на Украине на деньги народов.
Конфликт между империалистами предсказывает опасное и непредсказуемое обострение их противостояния за приносящие богатство ресурсы и сферы влияния, за которые народы будут платить многократно.
Народы Европы могут наметить собственный курс на освобождение от империалистических планов; за мир, сотрудничество, совместную борьбу за свои права и выход из НАТО и ЕС, в конфликте с капиталистическим варварством.
